As a third-time mom, one of the first things I did after my positive pregnancy test was to interview and hire a doula. I knew that every pregnancy and birth can be so different, and boy was I right — and SO glad that Chrissy and Lauren were by my side for this journey. They helped me navigate situations that didn’t arise in my previous pregnancies, including a change in my medical provider, birth location, and birth plans. They even doula-ed me through a kidney stone that I suffered during pregnancy! Ultimately, my birth experience was an overwhelmingly positive and supported one, despite having to deal with some of these variables. Over the months, Chrissy and Lauren were an invaluable source of camaraderie and compassion — I only wish they could be my doulas forever! :)
